Let’s contextualize the discussion about quantity vs. quality.

Your first step is not your last, but your next step depends on your first.

When discussing content creation, we often forget to contextualize the discussion about quantity vs. quality.

When my daughter was 9 months old, she started trying to take her first steps. As parents, we were thrilled to see our first child walking on her own feet. We were happy for her and applauded her for her first steps.

Now, what if I were to say, “Great, you made your first step? Now let’s see how fast you can run, how high you can jump, and how far you can go?” It would be silly and crazy and idiotic simultaneously, right?

The same goes for content creation.

When you start creating your first piece of content (whether it’s a podcast recording, visual drawing, newsletter writing, or anything else), think about doing it as consistently as possible so you can get used to it. When you feel ready, you can make it better and better.

Your first piece of content is not your last, but your next piece of content depends on your first one.
