[How To Negotiate] 4 Ways To Achieve A Better Deal In Any Situation

“Negotiation is the gaining of the best result for myself, with as few risks as possible.”

This is mainly the reason we negotiate. To obtain what we wish for, be it in the short, medium, or long term.

I had a talk with Ana-Maria Udriste about how to obtain what we wish for, but, at the same time, to get to a compromise in such a way that it’s best for everyone.

Each moment in our daily life, we negotiate.

The art of negotiation.

1. Take a step behind. Take a piece of paper. Note the ups and downs.

2. Analyze the impact on the short, medium, and long-term. In a negotiation, you have to start by a step behind. However, know when to be steadfast.

On the other hand, know when to be ridiculous, too. People tend to be more open to negotiation when they are comfortable.

3. It is favorable that along the way of negotiation, you be able to tell when someone is on the same page as you, but you have to let your guard down a little bit. The negotiations are always based on trust and the establishment of a communication path.

4. Do your homework before you start negotiating. Know your subject and know what you are looking for.
