What’s The Best Marketing You Can Do Today?

Some might say that it’s online marketing, social media marketing or content marketing and there are few people that still believe in traditional marketing.

So what is the real answer? What’s the best marketing you can do today for your business?

I saw a lot of headlines saying “marketing is dead, long live PR” or “marketing is dead, long live content marketing”. Why so we focus so much on the death of something and instead of this working on what we have today and make it bigger?

It’s kind of a funny thing to look at these people and see that each and every one believes in only one type of marketing. But if we look deeper into a business, into a consumer’s mind and into the real market we see that there are people who read the news on a printed newspaper, look at a movie on a TV screen and listen the radio in their car.

Not everybody is online and I believe that in the future not everybody will be online.

Humans are different and we love to stay as different as we can.

There are people around me that check their facebook account once every two weeks or read their e-mail once per week. Then there are the people that have an account on God knows how many social media networks and they are connected to this digital world all day long.

Do you see how different we are? Some of you are going to read this blog post on a desktop, some on a mobile phone and others on a tablet. We are different and we love to stay in this way.

But let’s get back to our question:

What’s the best marketing you can do today?

For this, I have only one answer and please correct me if I’m wrong – The best marketing you can do today is the marketing that drives the results you want.

This is why I still want to think like this – every marketing is the best marketing you can do if it’s done the right way, for the right target at the right time with the right instruments.

Do you see what they all have in common? The word “right”. So what is the best marketing? The right marketing.

Why do you do marketing? To reach more customers? To sell more of your product? To expand?

What’s the best marketing you can in your company? The one that gets you more customers. The one that helps you sell more products. The one that helps you grow larger.

Your marketing should satisfy your customers’ needs and offer them an experience worth talking about.

 

Every marketing strategy depends on 2 major points: context and purpose.

So, to be more clear: I’m not denying  any other marketing strategy, but I want to help you think outside the box. Maybe you struggle to grow with your social media marketing but you are doing a great job with e-mail marketing or billboards. Well, why not be the best at that and focus all your efforts on this strategy?
