All businesses have something in common. Even if we talk about products, services, start-ups or whatever kind of business you have. It’s all about the customer.
Whatever we do, we do it for the customer.
If we do marketing, we do it for the customer. If we invest more in design, we invest for the customer. If we create content, we create it for the customer. And if we do social media, yes my friend, you already know it, we do it for the customer.

These days I had a thought about something – How can I transform my customer into a hero?
What is a hero?
For me, a hero is that person who finds a solution for my problem immediately. For me a hero is that guy who understand my needs, work for my needs, find the solution and delivers it to immediately.
Batman is that hero that fights for the good of Gotham. Is one of a kind hero who understands that his responsibility is to help the ones in need and resolve the problem.
How we can make our customer a hero in his community?
- By creating a valuable product. The product that will make the customer a hero in his community.
Think about Facebook. They managed to create a valuable platform were you can connect with everybody on Earth. You can call your dear ones on the other side of the planet. You can share your family photos with your loved ones. And if you have a brand, you can connect with soooo many customers.
- By delivering valuable content. The content that the customer will read, share and help his or her community with.
Think about Seth Godin. He is that kind of content creator that delivers valuable content for his followers everyday, through his blog. Now think about this: how many of his followers are sharing his content? How many of those followers who are sharing his content are helping their community by passing it forward ? Exactly. Those followers are the heroes in their communities.
- By creating valuable services. That service that helps the customers gain more time, or money or even more knowledge.
My example for this point are the guys from MOZ who created a great community with their own blog. Think about this, they are a SEO company who is using content marketing to deliver the solution for the problems that SEO specialists find every day. MOZ designed their business on 3 important pillars: product & services, content and event. Is this a valuable service? Yes it is.
And my final question is:
why should we transform our customers into heroes?
When you will help your customer be a hero in his or her community, you will have an evangelist for your brand.
