Are you still thinking about why you should use visual marketing? Moreover, in what situations could you use visual marketing for your business? And by visual marketing I mean more than the photos you’re posting on Facebook or Instagram.
Were talking about the content you must offer to the customer in order to satisfy a need, solve a problem or of you’re smart enough, satisfy a desire.
Here are 3 situations in which Visual Content has managed to save the situation:
1. Let’s say you’re in the kitchen and you want to surprise your loved one but you cannot cook for your life.
So you bring your laptop to the kitchen and type on Youtube “How to make a chocolate cake” and scroll and scroll and you finally bump into a very well prepared 10 minute recipe. Play.
You manage to follow the steps and when your loved one comes through the door they can already smell a delightful chocolate scent and see a plate so pretty it could make you a frontrunner on Master Chef.
A normal thing and almost too plain, right? But who saved your evening? That video. Who made that video? A brand. Why? In order to get close to you and solve a problem for you through a tutorial. So,
Tutorials are a type of content that more brands should take into consideration.
2. Some of you were born with an extraordinary talent to solve any type of household problem while others, like myself, simply have no idea how to change a socket. Really.
It happened one day that I had to change a socket and I ended up calling a friend, who was part of the first category, and in just 3 moves managed to do the job I postponed for so long.
But what if I could find at that time a visual content on the internet, be it a video or a step by step guideline photo, that would have met my need. And just like that, here’s another example of how to answer the needs of the clients –
Solve a simple and easy problem through a visual format.
3. How many times have you had an alert appear on your computer and didn’t know what to do with it? You tried restarting, unplugging, throwing it to the walls (I just hope you didn’t get in trouble with your neighbors) and all for nothing.
Every time you tried doing something, a strange window appeared that did not make any sense to you and just annoyed you. And your friend, the computer genius (we all have that friend- a computer genius) is gone on a holiday at that exact time. So what do you do? Search on the internet, of course. But all the sites you visit contain a too difficult language, so you give up and wait for your friend to come back home.
But what if you knew about a website where you could answer max. 3 questions, upload a screenshot with the problematic window then get a step by step presentation about how to deal with that problem? That’s right,
Through presentations you can answer questions, FAQs or solve your client’s problem.
